The northern lights are visible in Tromsø from late September to late March, with peak activity November–February. Tromsø sits directly under the 'auroral oval', making it one of the world's best viewing locations. We monitor aurora forecasts daily and adapt your itinerary based on real-time conditions — so you get the best possible chance of a sighting.
We're a boutique concierge, not a mass-market operator. We take a maximum of 4 clients per week — your experience is never shared, never generic. Your itinerary is built entirely around your interests and pace. You also get a named local contact available 24/7 during your stay. Think private vs. economy class.
We recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance, especially for November–February (peak northern lights season). Due to our limited capacity, slots fill quickly. Last-minute enquiries (under 2 weeks) are sometimes possible — contact us and we'll do our best.
We offer full refunds for cancellations made 14 or more days before the service start date. Cancellations within 7–13 days receive a 50% refund or full credit toward a future booking. Within 7 days, we offer a reschedule to another date within 12 months. We understand travel can be unpredictable — we'll always work with you.
Absolutely — this is one of our specialities. We monitor multiple aurora and weather data sources and position you at the optimal location on the night. With the Local Friend service, this means private transport to off-the-beaten-path spots well away from the crowded bus-tour locations.
